Based on a USA model that was originally designed by Glenn Drennen of Grammy Nominated band, Fireflight, the Z7CUSTOM is nothing but sexy. A bright snow white finish is topped off with all chrome hardware (including pickup rings), and simply screams class. The chambered body offers the lightweight feel that touring musicians are looking for, with the sustain and tone that will most definitely hold up in the studio. And hey, you might just be able to write that Grammy Award winning song! Simple as it is, this axe boasts features such as a high gloss finish, mahogany body, rock maple neck, Sozo designed pickups (modeled from a ’59 and Custom Custom), push/pull coil tap, Sword of the Spirit script (on back), chrome hardware, factory installed straplocks, and all Sozo models now ship in a deluxe fitted hardshell case, at no extra charge!

Customer Reviews...

I've played a lot of different guitars from a wide variety of makers, styles and price ranges and have never felt strongly enough about any of them to bother writing a review, that is until I picked up my Sozo Z7 Custom. First of all, it is beautiful! The white finish, chrome hardware and abalone inlays look fantastic. I smile each time I open the case. I've been going back and forth over the years between Les Paul style guitars and Strat's/Tele's, both styles were great, but each lacked something. With the Sozo I have finally found exactly what I'm looking for tonally. The tone is unique to itself, which I love. It has great low-end depth, but maintains single note clarity without muddiness. It sustains seemingly forever. The harmonics are rich. It's light enough to play for hours, but substantial, you don't feel like you're playing a toy. One of the huge selling points for me was the coil-tap. I've used coil-taps in the past and have been extremely disappointed. They all sounded so thin that they weren't even useable for anything other than an effect. The coil-tap of the Z7 is amazing. It keeps the Sozo tone, but gives you that high -end sparkle, vintage tone. This is the most versatile guitar I’ve ever played. To top it all off it came set-up perfectly, plays great and is well balanced… If I haven’t been clear enough, I love this guitar and can’t find anything to complain about. Get a Sozo Now! You won’t regret it.
