Sozo is from the Greek translation meaning salvation, or born again. It was used in the new testament to describe the salvation through Jesus Christ. It is the salvation that only comes through the name and person of Jesus. It means complete deliverance of your current disposition. In 2004, God spoke to Brian Robinson, the founder and president of Sozo guitars. He told Brian to create a brand new guitar line that musicians from every musical genre will want to play.

From there, it was designing and creating the patented Sozo body style. Quality and attention to detail was crucial during the design process. Sozo's signature "unfinished neck" allows you to have the tone and sustain of a set neck guitar, with the feeling and wear of a bolt on. The patented "Chambered Body" also allows the guitar to resonate like that of a solid body (due to the solid center block running the length of the body), but have the sustain and projection like a semi-hollow body guitar. Not to mention they're light too!
